The First Spiritualist Church of Willimantic
The First Spiritualist Church of Willimantic was founded by the Doubledays sometime around the late 1800s. Large photographs of the Doubledays are hanging in the church. They were given to Pastor Sandy Bulson by their great-grandson. For years the church met on Valley Street in town in a storefront until the current church property was donated in 1957 by Arthur and Grace Tully. NSAC granted our church a charter on 12/31/1961. In 2018, we filed for a name change with the town hall. Originally we were called, "First Society of Spiritualists Church". We have an extensive Spiritualist/Spiritual library where members can take out books. Many books support MPI students. We were blessed to have Joyce Orcutt as Pastor for many years from 1975 until she passed on 2/9/2017. Currently, our co-pastors are Rev. Sandy Bulson and Rev. Susan Ferency. Our church has ample seating for services and enjoys outside services on the lawn out back during nice weather. We are next to Eastern Connecticut State College grounds. The Church of the Infinite Spirit
We meet on the second and fourth Sundays of the month (10:30-12)
Feel free to request to be put on our Monthly email list. Our church has many wonderful events. Please check out our website or Facebook page for information on free zoom classes(Lyceums) zoom church services, in-person services, information on Medium's Days, (These are $20 for twenty minutes for a reading or a healing.) Recordings of past services are currently available on our church FB page. Our pastor, Davia Morales, is also a certified Lifecoach, a healer, a gifted medium, and a spiritual advisor. She is skilled in removing unwanted energies from people and their property. She is also a dynamic speaker who has spoken at various Spiritualist churches in the Connecticut and Massachusetts areas. Something different that we started doing ln 2020, were Giving Days. These are a few Sundays during the year where there are items brought in that we can share with each other. Handmade items from parishioners who are artists make up some of these gifts that are shared with anyone who comes. The idea comes from the Native American idea when you have more than you need, you give the excess away to those who do not have it. These are called, appropriately, Giveaways. We welcome you to our services where you may receive a message from a loved one in spirit.
